The Front Porch Players Presents:
Summer Theatre Camp 2017!
Summer Theatre Camp Auditions will be Saturday May 20, 2017!
Camp will be July 17 – 21.
Prospective campers will need to audition. Auditions will be on May 20th at 1:00. We will issue scripts at the audition so that campers can begin memorizing their lines before camp begins. There will not be time during camp to memorize lines!
Campers will experience an intermediate level of theatre training, prop building instruction and hands-on learning, costuming design/choices, character construction guidance, play analysis and rehearsal, and challenging, rewarding theatre games. In addition, they will be doing a lot of actual theatrical prep work. At the end of the week they will be doing a one-act play!
Camp Hours:Monday – Tuesday: 9 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Wednesday-Friday hours: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Friday show: 6:30 p.m.
Please bring lunch and a morning snack Monday/Tuesday. Add an afternoon snack for the other days. Break time will be about 10:30, with lunch about noon. Afternoon break will be about 1:30 Wed.-Fri.
*Wear comfortable clothing and tennis/running-type shoes. NO SKIRTS, NO DRESSES, NO SANDALS, NO FLIP FLOPS! Activities may not be appropriate for skirts, and flip-flops and sandals are not safe when working onstage.
**I will need parent volunteers to help in coordination and in prop construction and costuming. The campers will doing much of this on their own; however, sometimes they (and I) need a hand. Please include your availability when you fill out the form.
Cost: $95 first child; $70 second (3rd, whatever!) child in same family. A $20 deposit is due no later than May 1, 2017.
